Kids’ plate: Tiny Chicken Treasure Rice

On the plate: Small chicken pieces, soft mushrooms and plain rice, butter and lemon left off.

Make it a game: Hunt for chicken treasure hidden in the rice and count each shiny piece you find.

Set it aside at step 4, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.

Why it works

  • Celiac disease: Naturally gluten-free: just rice, chicken, mushrooms, spinach, butter and lemon, with no sauces or thickeners.
  • Toddler (1–3): Soft mushrooms, fluffy rice and tender chicken pieces, seasoned mildly before the grown-up lemon goes on.
