Pregnancy-safe recipes the whole family can share
These recipes follow the usual pregnancy food-safety rules: meat, fish and eggs cooked through, pasteurised dairy only, no high-mercury fish, deli meat only when steaming hot, and caffeine kept low. They’re ordinary family meals, so nobody has to cook twice.

What Gluten watches for: raw or runny eggs, rare meat, sushi, unpasteurised cheese, high-mercury fish, liver, alcohol in sauces and caffeine.

Pregnancy cooking questions
Which fish are safe during pregnancy?
Low-mercury fish like salmon, sardines, trout, cod and shrimp, cooked through. Avoid shark, swordfish, king mackerel, tilefish and bigeye tuna.
Can I cook with wine while pregnant?
Alcohol doesn’t fully cook off, so the recipes here don’t use it. Gluten can add it back as a swap for the rest of the table.
Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice. Recipes are checked against the restrictions you enter, but always check labels for allergens and cross-contact, and talk to your doctor or dietitian about your diet.
