Kids’ plate: Tofu Noodle Bowls

On the plate: Rice noodles with plain golden tofu pieces; zucchini and green onions left out.

Make it a game: The noodles make winding paths around the tofu squares. Choose a path for each tofu piece as you eat.

Set it aside at step 3, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.

Why it works

  • Gluten-free: Gluten-free rice noodles and tamari keep wheat, barley and rye out.
  • Kid (4–12): Mild tofu and short, soft rice noodles make a familiar noodle bowl.
  • Toddler (1–3): Soft tofu, tender zucchini and short rice noodles are served in small pieces.
