Kids’ plate: Lamb Shepherd’s Pie

On the plate: A small portion of lamb, carrot and peas under soft sweet potato mash.

Make it a game: Find the little green peas hiding under the golden potato blanket. The mash makes a soft hill for each pea.

Set it aside at step 4, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.

Why it works

  • Celiac disease: Gluten-free beef stock and no wheat, barley or rye keep the pie ingredients gluten-free.
  • Toddler (1–3): Soft sweet potato mash and tiny lamb crumbles make an easy-to-scoop portion.
