Why it works

  • Celiac disease: A naturally gluten-free plate: pork, sweet potato and fresh slaw with no breading.
  • Milk allergy: The slaw is dressed with lemon and oil, no mayo or dairy needed.
  • Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Gluten-free and soy-free, with paprika, garlic and maple bringing the flavour.
  • Fish allergy: Pork takes the centre of the plate, nothing fishy anywhere here.
  • Soy allergy: The slaw uses lemon and maple instead of any soy-based dressing.

Celiac check: watch for hidden gluten in soy sauce, stock, malt vinegar and seasoning blends, and oats that aren’t certified. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
