Kids’ plate: Broccoli Tree Beef Strips
On the plate: Beef strips, soft broccoli trees and cauliflower rice, avocado slices, sauce on the side for dipping.
Make it a game: The broccoli is a giant's forest — dip a beef strip in the sauce and plant the trees around it.
Set it aside at step 5, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Autoimmune protocol (AIP): No grains, dairy, eggs or soy — the sauce is ginger, garlic and plain fish sauce.
- Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Strictly gluten-free and soy-free; the ginger sauce needs nothing bottled but additive-free fish sauce.
- Pregnant: The beef is seared and cooked to temperature in the pan; nothing raw or alcoholic.
- Toddler (1–3): Soft beef pieces and well-cooked broccoli trees, with avocado to pick up.
- Kid (4–12): Beef strips to dip and broccoli trees to stack, with gentle ginger flavour.
AIP check: watch for nightshade spices (paprika, chili, cayenne), seed spices (cumin, coriander seed), seed oils and hidden sugar. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
