Kids’ plate: Steak Bites with Cauliflower Rice

On the plate: Small steak bites, plain cauliflower rice and soft beet cubes, lemon left off.

Make it a game: Stack the beet cubes into a little tower on the cauliflower rice.

Set it aside at step 4, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.

Why it works

  • Autoimmune protocol (AIP): Steak, cauliflower and beets with rosemary, garlic and lemon — no grains, dairy or nightshades.
  • Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Gluten-free with no soy or seaweed; rosemary, garlic and lemon do the seasoning.
  • Pregnant: Nothing in it is raw, unpasteurised or alcoholic.
  • Toddler (1–3): Thin, tender steak pieces and soft beets she can pick up by hand.
  • Kid (4–12): Steak bites to spear with a fork and mild cauliflower rice.

AIP check: watch for nightshade spices (paprika, chili, cayenne), seed spices (cumin, coriander seed), seed oils and hidden sugar. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
