Kids’ plate: Pizza Chicken Strips

On the plate: Chicken strips with soft carrot and zucchini pieces, avocado slices and olives cut in half.

Make it a game: Stack little pizzas: chicken, then zucchini, then an olive on top.

Set it aside at step 4, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.

Why it works

  • Autoimmune protocol (AIP): No grains, dairy, eggs or nightshades — olives, oregano and vinegar bring the pizza flavour.
  • Hashimoto's thyroiditis: No gluten or soy anywhere; the seasoning is garlic, oregano, salt and a splash of vinegar.
  • Pregnant: Nothing in this dish is raw, unpasteurised or alcoholic.
  • Toddler (1–3): Mild chicken strips and soft cooked vegetables, with avocado slices to pick up.
  • Kid (4–12): Pizza-flavour chicken strips with mild vegetables and no heat at all.

AIP check: watch for nightshade spices (paprika, chili, cayenne), seed spices (cumin, coriander seed), seed oils and hidden sugar. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
