Kids’ plate: Crunchy dino chicken strips
On the plate: Plain chicken strips, a scoop of quinoa and cucumber slices, salad dressing left off.
Make it a game: Dip the strips in quinoa and count the crunchy dino claws.
Set it aside at step 5, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Chicken and quinoa seasoned with lemon and dill, no soy or seaweed in it.
- Gluten-free: The crunchy crust is gluten-free cornflakes, nothing else needed.
- Kid (4–12): Crispy strips made for dipping, with the tomatoes cut for her.
- Toddler (1–3): Soft quinoa and torn strips she can grab and eat by herself.
