Kids’ plate: Little samosa pockets
On the plate: One plain baked samosa, cut into wedges, with a small bowl of mint chutney to dip.
Make it a game: Dip a wedge and count how many green speckles you can spot inside before the next dip.
Set it aside at step 6, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Celiac disease: Chickpea-flour pastry with no wheat anywhere: the filling is potato, peas and whole spices.
- Kid (4–12): Mild potato-and-pea filling in a hand-held pastry, with the chutney on the side for dipping.
Celiac check: watch for hidden gluten in soy sauce, stock, malt vinegar and seasoning blends, and oats that aren’t certified. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
