Kids’ plate: Chicken and Cauliflower Rice

On the plate: Mild turmeric chicken with cauliflower rice and carrot, with lime and cilantro left off.

Make it a game: Make a little golden nest of cauliflower rice for the chicken pieces. See if the carrot makes tiny orange ribbons.

Set it aside at step 4, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.

Why it works

  • Celiac disease: The chicken and vegetables are seasoned with individual spices, with no grain or wheat-based sauce.
  • Kid (4–12): Mild chicken, soft cauliflower rice and sweet grated carrot make a familiar skillet meal.
