Kids’ plate: Pork Rice-Paper Rolls

On the plate: Pork crumbles, grated carrot and thin cucumber tucked into softened rice paper.

Make it a game: Look for the orange carrot and green cucumber hiding in each roll. You can open a roll and explore the fillings too.

Set it aside at step 4, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.

Why it works

  • Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Gluten-free rice paper, pork, vegetables and fresh ginger; no soy or seaweed.
  • Low-histamine: Fresh pork, carrot, cucumber, ginger, apple and cilantro, without vinegar or fermented sauce.
  • Gluten-free: Gluten-free rice paper and garlic-infused olive oil replace bread and sauces.
  • Pregnant: Nothing in the rolls is raw, unpasteurised or alcoholic.
  • Toddler (1–3): Tiny pork crumbles with grated carrot and thin cucumber pieces are easy to pick up.
  • Kid (4–12): Mild pork rolls have familiar fillings and can be cut into small pieces.
