Why it works

  • Tree nut allergy: No nuts anywhere: the crunch comes from plain gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • Milk allergy: No milk, butter or cheese: olive oil does the crisping and the dip is fruit.
  • Wheat allergy: The crumb is gluten-free breadcrumbs, so there is no wheat in the coating.
  • Dairy-free: Olive oil and a sweet-tart blueberry dip instead of any butter or cream.
