Kids’ plate: Beef burrito roll-ups
On the plate: Plain seasoned beef and beans in a warm tortilla, rice on the side, grated cheese on top.
Make it a game: Roll it up like a sleeping bag and see how big the burrito grows.
Set it aside at step 5, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Celiac disease: Gluten-free tortillas, labelled salsa and plain seasonings: no wheat anywhere in the wrap.
- Kid (4–12): Mild beef and beans in a soft tortilla, rolled small with cheese and salsa for dipping.
Celiac check: watch for hidden gluten in soy sauce, stock, malt vinegar and seasoning blends, and oats that aren’t certified. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
