Kids’ plate: Chicken strip dip plate
On the plate: Plain crispy chicken strips, rice, snap peas and a little honey-tamari dip on the side.
Make it a game: Dip each strip like a diver into a honey puddle, then make a rice mountain around the peas.
Set it aside at step 4, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Celiac disease: The glaze is built on gluten-free tamari, with cornstarch instead of flour for the crispy coating.
- Kid (4–12): Mild, sweet-savoury chicken kids love to dip, with a fun sesame sprinkle on top.
Celiac check: watch for hidden gluten in soy sauce, stock, malt vinegar and seasoning blends, and oats that aren’t certified. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
