Kids’ plate: Pork Strips and Apple Smiles
On the plate: Plain pork strips, soft cabbage and tender apple slices.
Make it a game: Lay the apple slices on the plate as smiles and see how many the pork strips can balance on top.
Set it aside at step 3, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Apple, thyme and vinegar sweeten the pan instead of any soy or sugar.
- Gluten-free: A plain sear and pan sauce, no flour or breadcrumbs needed.
- Anti-inflammatory: Olive oil sear with fruit and cabbage instead of a sugary glaze.
- Kid (4–12): Sweet apple and mild pork strips with no heat in the pan.
- Toddler (1–3): Everything cooks down soft — pork, cabbage and apple all mash easily.
