Looking for an eMeals alternative?
eMeals plans a week of dinners in one food style, like Gluten Free, Keto or Kid Friendly, with a shopping list you can send to the store. If people at your table need different things at once, Gluten plans one dinner around all of them, for free. Here’s how the two compare, from eMeals’ own pages.
Free on iPhone, Android and the web.

When eMeals is the better choice
If one food style suits everyone at your table, like Keto or Heart Healthy for the whole house, and you want the shopping done for you. eMeals has 20,000+ recipes, a new menu every week from registered dietitians, a shopping list that goes straight to your grocery store, and a 4.6 rating from about 53,000 ratings on the App Store. Gluten doesn’t make a shopping list yet.
When Gluten is the better choice
If people at your table need different things at once: a child with celiac, a partner on AIP, a pregnancy, a nut allergy. Each eMeals plan follows one food style, so the rest is up to you. Gluten has a profile for each person, plans dinners all of them can eat, and tells you what to change on one plate. It’s free.

Switching from eMeals
How much does eMeals cost?
eMeals says a subscription is as low as $4.99 a month on a 12-month plan, or $37.50 for 3 months, with a 14-day free trial. Its App Store listing shows $59.99 a year for dinners, or $99.99 a year with breakfast and lunch. Its apps need an active subscription. Those are the prices we read on November 7, 2026.
Does eMeals have a gluten-free plan?
Yes. Its Gluten Free plan is “meals for those with a gluten allergy or sensitivity”, and its recipes favor fresh food over packaged gluten-free products. Every subscription includes all 15 food styles.
Can eMeals plan around food allergies?
We didn’t find allergy filters or a profile for each person on eMeals’ site, help center or App Store page. You can search its recipes by name, ingredient or protein and pick the ones that fit.
Can I use more than one eMeals plan?
Yes. Its help center says you can open recipes from other food styles without changing your main plan, and switch plans as often as you like.
How much does Gluten cost?
Nothing. Gluten is free for the whole family, on iPhone, Android and the web.
Can I bring my eMeals recipes to Gluten?
No. Gluten has no import. You add your family once, and Gluten plans from there.
