Kids’ plate: Chicken dipper boats
On the plate: Mild chicken pieces, basmati rice and a little creamy tomato sauce for dipping, cilantro left off.
Make it a game: Scoop a chicken boat with rice, then sail it through the dipping sauce.
Set it aside at step 6, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Celiac disease: Naturally gluten-free: chicken, yogurt, tomato, cream and rice, with the spices checked gluten-free.
- Kid (4–12): Mild, creamy sauce with tender chicken and rice to pick up and dip.
Celiac check: watch for hidden gluten in soy sauce, stock, malt vinegar and seasoning blends, and oats that aren’t certified. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
