Why it works
- Type 2 diabetes: Beef and avocado carry the plate, with roasted squash wedges instead of a bun or fries.
- Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Seasoned with herbs and salt only, no soy or seaweed anywhere.
- Celiac disease: Nothing breadcrumbed or thickened; the patties are just beef and herbs.
- Milk allergy: Mashed avocado plays the creamy role; no milk in any form here.
- Wheat allergy: The squash wedges stand in for fries and bun, no flour in the mix.
- Egg allergy: The patties hold together with nothing but beef and herbs.
- Gluten-free: Every element is built from whole ingredients: beef, squash, cabbage, avocado.
- Anti-inflammatory: Olive oil, lean beef, avocado and cabbage, with roasted squash instead of fries.
- Egg-free: No eggs in the patties or anywhere else on the plate.
- Dairy-free: Avocado mash stands in for butter or cheese.
- No spicy food: Gentle seasoning: oregano, rosemary, chives and salt, nothing hot.
