Kids’ plate: Turkey Meatball Soup

On the plate: Small turkey meatballs, soft carrot and pasta in broth, with finely chopped kale stirred in.

Make it a game: Make a little pasta path between the meatballs and carrot pieces. Follow the path with your spoon at your own pace.

Set it aside at step 5, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.

Why it works

  • Celiac disease: Gluten-free breadcrumbs, pasta and chicken stock keep wheat, barley and rye out of the soup.
  • Toddler (1–3): Small meatballs, tender vegetables and soft pasta are easy to spoon up.
