Kids’ plate: Chicken sticks and carrot sticks
On the plate: Plain chicken strips and soft roasted carrot sticks, no glaze.
Make it a game: Dip the carrot trees in a little olive oil and build a log pile.
Set it aside at step 3, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Roast chicken and root vegetables with thyme, mustard and maple, no soy or seaweed.
- Gluten-free: One pan of chicken and veg; the glaze is mustard, maple syrup and thyme.
- Kid (4–12): Strips of roast chicken and sweet carrot sticks made for dunking.
- Toddler (1–3): Soft carrot sticks and thin chicken pieces that small hands can manage.
