Kids’ plate: Fish Stick Dippers with Sweet Potato Wedges
On the plate: Golden fish sticks and sweet potato wedges, plain, before the lemon and dill go on.
Make it a game: Park a wedge on the plate as an island and sail a fish-stick submarine in to dock.
Set it aside at step 5, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Autoimmune protocol (AIP): Cassava-flour crumb and olive oil — no grains, dairy, eggs, nuts or seed spices.
- Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Gluten-free and soy-free; lemon zest and fresh dill season the fish.
- Pregnant: Low-mercury cod, nothing raw, unpasteurised or alcoholic; cooking temperature is in the steps.
- Toddler (1–3): Flaked fish and soft wedges in a small portion, with avocado on the side.
- Kid (4–12): Crisp sticks to dip, mild lemon flavour, avocado alongside.
AIP check: watch for nightshade spices (paprika, chili, cayenne), seed spices (cumin, coriander seed), seed oils and hidden sugar. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
