Kids’ plate: Salmon garden plates
On the plate: Flaked salmon with soft broccoli florets and tender carrot pieces.
Make it a game: Arrange broccoli like little trees and carrots like garden paths. Explore the salmon flakes at your own pace.
Set it aside at step 5, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Autoimmune protocol (AIP): Salmon, broccoli, carrots, olive oil and dill bring flavour without grains, dairy, legumes or nightshades.
- Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Fresh salmon and vegetables contain no gluten, soy, seaweed or kelp.
- Pregnant: Salmon is a low-mercury fish choice, with no raw, unpasteurised or alcoholic ingredients.
- Toddler (1–3): Flaked salmon and soft broccoli and carrots are easy to manage on a small plate.
- Kid (4–12): Mild dill salmon and familiar roasted vegetables keep this plate simple.
AIP check: watch for nightshade spices (paprika, chili, cayenne), seed spices (cumin, coriander seed), seed oils and hidden sugar. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
