Kids’ plate: Silly noodle shrimp bowls
On the plate: Plain shrimp pieces cut small, zucchini ribbons and avocado slices, the lemon and basil kept light.
Make it a game: Twirl the zucchini ribbons around the fork like long silly noodles before each bite.
Set it aside at step 2, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Autoimmune protocol (AIP): Shrimp, zucchini and avocado in olive oil and lemon, no grains, dairy, eggs or nightshades.
- Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Fully gluten-free with no soy or seaweed, brightened with lemon zest and garlic.
- Pregnant: Nothing raw, unpasteurised or alcoholic; the shrimp sizzles until pink and curled.
- Toddler (1–3): Short, soft ribbons and small shrimp pieces that are easy to manage, with avocado to scoop.
- Kid (4–12): Garlicky shrimp and twirlable ribbons with gentle lemon, no hot spice anywhere.
AIP check: watch for nightshade spices (paprika, chili, cayenne), seed spices (cumin, coriander seed), seed oils and hidden sugar. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
