Kids’ plate: Broccoli Trees and Beef Dippers
On the plate: Plain beef strips, small broccoli trees and soft carrot coins, sauce left off.
Make it a game: Broccoli trees stand in a forest and the beef strips are a bear walking through. Munch a tree when the bear stops.
Set it aside at step 3, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Autoimmune protocol (AIP): No grains, dairy, eggs or nightshades: fish sauce without additives, ginger and honey build the sauce.
- Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Seasoned with fish sauce and ginger instead of soy sauce, and fully gluten-free.
- Pregnant: Nothing in it is raw, unpasteurised or alcoholic.
- Toddler (1–3): Strips and coins sized for little hands, cooked soft and mild.
- Kid (4–12): Mild ginger sauce for the grown-ups, plain dippable strips for the younger plates.
AIP check: watch for nightshade spices (paprika, chili, cayenne), seed spices (cumin, coriander seed), seed oils and hidden sugar. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
