Kids’ plate: Dino nuggets

On the plate: Dino nuggets, cucumber sticks and a little bowl of ketchup, made before the grown-ups' extra seasoning.

Make it a game: Name each dinosaur before its first dip — a T-rex stomp for the big ones, a flutter for the pterodactyl.

Set it aside at step 4, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.

Why it works

  • Celiac disease: The crispy coating is crushed gluten-free cornflakes, so nothing here has wheat in any form.
  • Kid (4–12): Baked, mild and made to dunk: familiar nugget shapes with cucumber sticks alongside.

Celiac check: watch for hidden gluten in soy sauce, stock, malt vinegar and seasoning blends, and oats that aren’t certified. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
