Kids’ plate: Chicken Boats

On the plate: Small chicken pieces, soft pepper strips, plain rice and avocado slices, lime left off.

Make it a game: Sail a chicken boat across the rice sea to the avocado islands.

Set it aside at step 5, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.

Why it works

  • Celiac disease: Naturally gluten-free: rice, chicken, fresh peppers and garlic, with no sauce mixes or stock.
  • Toddler (1–3): Soft peppers, plain rice and small chicken pieces to pick up, lime kept off that share.
