Kids’ plate: Lamb Kofta Bites
On the plate: Plain lamb kofta bites with soft zucchini mixed in, set aside before the mint.
Make it a game: Make a little kofta garden: parsley is the green grass and each bite can visit the garden when ready.
Set it aside at step 5, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Hashimoto's thyroiditis: No soy, seaweed or gluten-containing grains; lamb, zucchini and fresh herbs make up the kofta.
- Gluten-free: Lamb and vegetables bind the kofta, with no grain products or sauces.
- Anti-inflammatory: Olive oil, lamb, zucchini and fresh herbs bring the flavour without added sugar or seed oils.
- Pregnant: Nothing in it is raw, unpasteurised or alcoholic.
- Toddler (1–3): Soft zucchini is mixed into the kofta, served in small, thin lamb pieces.
- Kid (4–12): Mild cinnamon-seasoned lamb kofta has no spicy heat.
