Why it works

  • Type 2 diabetes: No added sugar and almost no starch: salmon, carrots and leafy greens.
  • Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Gluten-free throughout, and the drizzle has no soy in it.
  • Autoimmune protocol (AIP): Salmon, carrots and chard with olive oil, lemon and chives — no seeds, dairy or nightshades.
  • Celiac disease: Every ingredient is naturally gluten-free; there is no sauce to double-check.
  • IBS: Garlic-infused oil stands in for garlic, and the vegetables here are gentle ones.
  • Milk allergy: The drizzle is olive oil, lemon and chives — no dairy anywhere on the plate.
  • Wheat allergy: No wheat, breadcrumbs or flour in any step.
  • Egg allergy: No eggs here; the salmon stands on its own.
  • Gluten-free: Naturally gluten-free, with nothing hiding in a sauce.
  • Anti-inflammatory: Oily fish, olive oil, carrots and leafy greens, cooked simply.
  • Paleo: Fish, vegetables, lemon and olive oil — that is the whole plate.
  • Egg-free: Eggs play no part in this dish.
  • Dairy-free: A chive-lemon olive oil drizzle instead of butter.
  • No spicy food: Chives and lemon carry the flavour; nothing hot at all.
