Kids’ plate: Pork Meatball Lettuce Wraps

On the plate: Plain pork meatballs, lettuce leaves and cucumber sticks, with lime on the side.

Make it a game: Make a little lettuce boat for each meatball. Add cucumber as crunchy paddles whenever you like.

Set it aside at step 4, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.

Why it works

  • Celiac disease: Gluten-free fish sauce and tamari season the pork; no wheat-based wrappers or sauces.
  • Kid (4–12): Mild pork meatballs, soft lettuce leaves and cucumber make simple, build-your-own wraps.
