Why it works

  • PCOS: Protein and fibre lead here, with quinoa instead of white starch and no added sugar in the pan sauce.
  • Gluten-free: Everything is naturally gluten-free: salmon, quinoa, green beans and fresh herbs, with no sauces to check.
  • Anti-inflammatory: Salmon and green beans cooked in olive oil, brightened with lemon, garlic and fresh herbs.
  • Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Strictly gluten-free, no soy: the quinoa simmers in homemade broth with lemon and herbs for flavour.
  • No spicy food: Mild and herby — lemon, garlic, dill and parsley do the seasoning, nothing hot.
  • Picky eater: Familiar, plain flavours with crispy salmon skin and a simple lemon squeeze; herbs stirred into the quinoa, not on the fish.

Celiac check: watch for hidden gluten in soy sauce, stock, malt vinegar and seasoning blends, and oats that aren’t certified. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
