Kids’ plate: Chicken noodle soup bowls
On the plate: Mild chicken noodle soup with a halved egg, spinach and carrot matchsticks, scallion tops on the side.
Make it a game: Hunt for the hidden chicken treasures in the noodle nest before the egg boat sails in.
Set it aside at step 6, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Celiac disease: Rice noodles and gluten-free tamari keep the whole bowl gluten-free, broth included.
- Kid (4–12): A mild, brothy bowl with noodles to slurp and an egg to halve — spice stays off the kids' share.
Celiac check: watch for hidden gluten in soy sauce, stock, malt vinegar and seasoning blends, and oats that aren’t certified. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
