Why it works

  • Celiac disease: Naturally grain-free plate: pork, cabbage, apples and vinegar, no flour or breadcrumbs.
  • Milk allergy: Everything cooks in olive oil; no butter, cream or cheese in the pan.
  • Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Gluten-free by ingredients and free of soy; flavour comes from thyme, garlic and apple.
  • Fish allergy: Pork chops and cabbage cooked in olive oil with no fish sauce or stock.
  • Soy allergy: The pan sauce is apples, cider vinegar and thyme, nothing soy-based.

Celiac check: watch for hidden gluten in soy sauce, stock, malt vinegar and seasoning blends, and oats that aren’t certified. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
