Kids’ plate: Wedges and patty stacks

On the plate: Plain patty pieces, sweet potato wedges and avocado mash for dipping, set aside before anything else goes on the grown-up plates.

Make it a game: Stack patty pieces between two wedges to build a little burger tower.

Set it aside at step 4, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.

Why it works

  • Autoimmune protocol (AIP): No grains, dairy, eggs or nightshades: bison patties with sweet potato wedges and olive oil.
  • Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Naturally gluten-free meat and sweet potato with olive oil, chives and lemon, no soy in sight.
  • Pregnant: Nothing raw, unpasteurised or alcoholic here, just bison, sweet potato and avocado.
  • Toddler (1–3): Soft wedges, small patty pieces and mashable avocado for hands and fingers.
  • Kid (4–12): Patty strips and crisp wedges with avocado mash to dip.

AIP check: watch for nightshade spices (paprika, chili, cayenne), seed spices (cumin, coriander seed), seed oils and hidden sugar. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
