Kids’ plate: Sweet honey chicken bites

On the plate: Chicken bites, soft broccoli florets and a little honey sauce for dipping, sesame seeds left off.

Make it a game: Line the broccoli up like little trees next to the chicken, and let them build a forest before they eat it.

Set it aside at step 5, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.

Why it works

  • Celiac disease: Gluten-free tamari and cornstarch keep the sticky sauce fully wheat-free.
  • Kid (4–12): Mild, sweet sauce served separately as a dip, with soft broccoli florets to pick up.

Celiac check: watch for hidden gluten in soy sauce, stock, malt vinegar and seasoning blends, and oats that aren’t certified. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
