Kids’ plate: Chicken noodle pile
On the plate: Plain chicken pieces and wide noodles tossed with a little tamari, scrambled egg on top, broccoli stems on the side.
Make it a game: Call the wide noodles ribbons and see how many colours they can stack on the fork before the first bite.
Set it aside at step 4, before the grown-ups’ sauce or spice goes on.
Why it works
- Celiac disease: Rice noodles and tamari carry the dish, with gluten-free oyster sauce in the sauce.
- Kid (4–12): A mild, savoury noodle stir-fry with soft egg and tender broccoli, nothing spicy or bitter.
Celiac check: watch for hidden gluten in soy sauce, stock, malt vinegar and seasoning blends, and oats that aren’t certified. Gluten gives food ideas, not medical advice: always check labels for allergens and cross-contact.
